About this program
PRM intends to issue a request for concept notes on or around April 28, 2022 to fund specialized technical assistance projects to develop and expand the capacity of existing and new partners participating in and contributing to? the Reception and Placement Program (R&P) to resettle refugees admitted to the United States through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. The goal of this initiative is to improve outcomes for refugees resettled through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, including by building the capacity of and expanding the group of partners providing technical expertise and other support. The purpose of these technical assistance projects will be to increase the capacity of resettlement agencies, their affiliates, community partners, and new participating organizations to provide initial reception and placement services to refugees within the first 30 to 90 days of their arrival in the United States. The request for concept notes will invite proposals on technical assistance projects that address one or more of the following capacity building topics: identifying and developing new and innovative housing programs for newly arriving refugees; deepening community engagement in refugee resettlement, including through the use of community sponsorship programs; supporting and facilitating the entry of new partner organizations to participate in R&P; strengthening the ability of current R&P partners and/or communities to successfully resettle refugees, as well as to expand their capacity and resources as needed. PRM welcomes applications from organizations who have not traditionally participated in the R&P program. Organizations may apply to this anticipated request for concept notes as individual organizations or as consortia. For consortia, one organization must be designated as the lead applicant at both the concept note and full proposal stage, as applicable. Applicants may form consortia in order to bring together organizations with varied expertise to propose a comprehensive program in one proposal. The request for concept notes will be posted on grants.gov, and applications in response to this future posting must be submitted through grants.gov.
