About this program
Provides funding for enhanced early-stage design support for residential new construction, including technical assistance, training, energy modeling, and other design activities. Supports home builders, developers and others in the design and delivery of high-performance, energy-efficient residential projects across New York State. Select funding is available under the LMI Energy Efficiency and Building Electrification (EE/BE) Order from 2026-2030 strictly for multifamily affordable housing with 5+ units. Funding is also available from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative Operating Plan to support this program for all new construction residential segments.
